To all public schools: Boys are boys, girls are girls, penguins are penguins. If you try and teach my child he is not a boy but instead he is a purple penguin, I will rent the local zoo's penguin population and drop them all in your principals office overnight to teach you what a penguin is. Do I really need to get you guys a Speak-N-Say?

"Why can't women be filthy rich, own a massive buisness while sitting in a big leather chair smoking a cigar?!" They can and do. They also are still women at the end of the day thanks to gender roles.

I don't know what "enforce" means in this context. Forcing people to conform to a gender stereotype, such as disallowing women from working is obviously wrong. So..No?

Makesensepeopledont: No ones talking about telling kids that their penguins, we are talking about the state teaching kids that men and women are supposed to be in different jobs and subscribe to different ways of life. When we look at the past (recent US history) we get a very clear picture of what these roles were: girls were to stay at home and take on domestic duties, while boys are to work and provide income for the family. So do you agree that our schools should tell the girls that they are homemakers and the boys that they are head of the household whether they like it or not.

Freedom: they are not women thanks to their gender roles, they are women thanks to their genetalia.

@komododragon8 In that case, to whomever votes "Yes": Step into the ring and tell Laila Ali she shouldn't be boxing then come back and let's talk about gender roles being enforced LOL.
