  • Yes. It's a person's business to do with what they will. In a free society, the free exchange of goods and services is a must. You can't force me to serve or sell to people I don't wish to. Simple. If you support freedom you support this.

  • Yes, it is your property.

  • YES. Just as consumers have the right to shop in my store, I have the right to refuse service to said consumer if I don't like x-y-z about them. PRIVATELY held business should have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

  • Discrimination is a no no. Corporations do not have the right to discriminate anybody; regardless of their race, ethnic, religion, sexuality, disability, ect.

  • This leads the way to discrimination, which can lead to segregation.

" If you support freedom you support this " No. That is not freedom.

You know; it is sad to see discrimination in today's world... I thought we were past this illogical, unreasonable, nonsensical bullcrap...
Installgentoo says2014-04-22T14:42:59.1299855-05:00
@Comrade_Silly_Otter: yes it is freedom; freedom of association.
Comrade_Silly_Otter says2014-04-22T14:43:26.1681812-05:00
And the freedom to deny others their freedom?
ChrisF says2014-04-22T14:44:14.0723855-05:00
People who say yes are quite literally defending the freedom of some to limit the freedom of others.

Noone has the freedom to use stuff that someone else is paying for, unless someone else is offering to sell it to them. You don't just let people come into your house and take a shower because you think it's their freedom, do you? The same principle applies to private businesses, they have a right to choose who can use their services.
Comrade_Silly_Otter says2014-04-22T14:49:58.4423855-05:00
Private Business is not your private housing. Its not the same concept.
Installgentoo says2014-04-22T14:56:43.4722110-05:00
@Comrade_Silly_Otter: in my example it's the same as a private business supplying a service. You are a hypocrite.
SNP1 says2014-04-22T14:57:50.4742110-05:00
Installgentoo, that is the false analogy logical fallacy.
Tyler5362 says2014-04-22T15:10:06.2356624-05:00
Not only are the people voting yes are dumb but lack the knowledge of the constitution and the civil rights act. This would not hold up in a court of law.
ConservativePolitico says2014-04-22T15:10:47.8408624-05:00
Hey Tyler Debate me on this point then.
Logicalperson444 says2014-04-22T15:13:24.9383855-05:00
Unbelievable.. If I'm offended by something or someone I should NOT be forced to work for or with that person. IF YOU DONT LIKE DISCRIMINATION THEN HOW CAN YOU DISCRIMNATE AGAINST SOMEONES BELIEVES THAT SOMEONE ELSES WAY OF LIFE IS OFFENSIVE!!??????????
Tyler5362 says2014-04-22T15:14:06.9179855-05:00
I don't need to. I know I will win. How about you do this. You go to a judge and ask him about this. Let me know what he tells you.
ConservativePolitico says2014-04-22T15:15:16.5492431-05:00
If you're sure you'll win, then debate me.
Logicalperson444 says2014-04-22T15:16:10.4156978-05:00
If your offended by Islamists because your family died in 9/11 and it offends you, then who am I to FORCE you to take pictures of them at their wedding? Or if two skin heads are getting married, who are they to tell a gay Jewish cake maker to make their swastica cake??? You have to be insane to think other wise..
Tyler5362 says2014-04-22T15:16:38.6203170-05:00
I, logically, don't have to. ASK a judge. I proved my point if you won't.
ConservativePolitico says2014-04-22T15:18:06.9395855-05:00
Idiot. Goodness. This is why I don't come to the poll section. Peace <3
A341 says2014-04-22T15:18:29.4424203-05:00
I'm open to debate anyone who voted No.
Tyler5362 says2014-04-22T15:23:50.9195855-05:00
My point exactly. I have a feeling by using logic that you are a white male who most likely is racist. You don't deserve to live. Bye.
SweetTea says2014-04-22T17:34:48.4055855-05:00
In my lifetime alone, a few reasons patrons were not served ... "Whites ONLY -- NO Colored Allowed!" "No shoes, No shirt, No service!" "Dress Attire Required" "Men ONLY!" "No One Under The Age Of 18!" "No One Under The Age of 21!" And most recently, the Gay couple who were refused service by a bakery for a Wedding Cake!
Kreakin says2014-04-22T18:53:28.8875855-05:00
If you are running a bussiness then it will be discrimination. Otherwise it's up to you.
L.D says2014-04-22T19:54:10.1771855-05:00
Tough one, it is morally wrong, but it should be legally right. Good question.
el_em_en_oh says2014-04-23T08:16:34.4120481-05:00
Why does everyone automatically think this is a "race" thing? What if I own a business, and NAMBLA (National Association of Man/Boy Love) comes in seeking my services. Since I don't agree with Man-Boy-Love and pedophilia, should I not have the right to say "NO" to them? Or what if I'm a Hasidic Jew in NYC and own a jewelry shop, and a quite obviously Aryan Brotherhood Nazi-lover walks through the door and wants to buy something from me... Should I not have to right to refuse service to said Nazi-lover? It's MY business. As long as I receive no public monies, I should have to right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Period.
YellowPandaBear says2014-04-25T18:04:39.7142127-05:00
Due to a technical failure I am forced to post my comment here and not with my vote. It is the right of everyone to do what they wish with their private property and if that means refusing service, which is the efforts exerted by the only property you have an entitlement to (yourself), then so be it.
vivia says2014-06-24T08:50:17.6137468-05:00
Only if it is like no shirts no shoes no service. Not if it means no gays, no women, no minorities.
