Why not? They should be allowed to wear what they want to wear.
Of Course! A woman's shoes can make her mood, and heels have a positive effect that can make a girl feel confident and sexy.
Should women wear high heels? Women should be able to wear what they want. If a women wants to look good or put on a pair of heels they should be able to. Its there choice
people should be able to wear whatever they want to wear.
just not stilletos
I've been wearing heels since middle school with my school uniform. Just because I like them. I'm the only student in my small school that wears them. They add a type of confidence to a lady.
Go live your own life.
We should be able to where whatever we like.
I love wearing heels! Sure I know that they can mess up your feet. Smiling can also help contribute to aging. Does that mean that we should all be glum and wear sensible shoes? Not me! My high arches and I will be smiling all the way to the happy side of life!
Of course, I mean it's a personal preference and as a hardcore heel wearer I'm biased in saying this but I just think they add so much more to a look. Don't get me wrong flats can be cute too but I would always pick the heeled look. As for all the fear-mongering comments on the 'No' side about permanently damaging yourself etc most of that is nonsense. I sort of agree that extended wear of STILLETOS with a narrow toe can obviously give you toe trouble, but heels in general if you buy the correct size? Absolutely not. If you buy ANY shoes that are too small you're looking at toe problems regardless. If you're a regular heel wearer it's good to do some deep leg stretches to ensure that your hamstrings don't tighten up too much and you'll be fine. Oh by the way, as someone whose worn heels from aged 12/13 until now (I'm 21 so thats 8/9 years) I'm yet to have any of the 'problems' mentioned and.....it's always kept my legs toned :)
Like most other polls - why not? They're taller, it's fashionable, gives them confidence...
Should we be ABLE to? Of course. But SHOULD we? No. Do you have any idea how much damage these things cause your legs and joints? Have fun with the osteoarthritis, ankle problems, ingrown toenails, and knee replacements ladies.
The question is not whether or not we should be able to, to which the answer would be "yes". Women shouldn't wear high heels the same way we shouldn't smoke: it's bad for our bodies. Wearing heels is horrible for your back and isn't worth the pain. It's annoying that men aren't encouraged to wear such painful and impractical styles of dress. Why should we?
Those perfect pumps can create the perfect storm for permanent health problems. If you frequently wear high heels, you are setting yourself up for long-term issues. "Extended wear of high heels and continually bending your toes into an unnatural position can cause a range of ailments, from ingrown toenails to irreversible damage to leg tendons. Additionally, cramming your toes into a narrow toe box can cause nerve damage and bunions," says Dr. Nevins. "High heels have also been linked to overworked or injured leg muscles, osteoarthritis of the knee, plantar fasciitis and low back pain," she adds. According to Dr. Nevins, when you wear high heels - shoes with a heel two inches or higher - your foot slides forward in your shoe, forcing the toes into the unnatural shape of the shoe and redistributing your weight incorrectly. The increased weight on your toes causes your body to tilt forward, and to compensate, you lean backwards and overarch your back, creating a posture that can strain your knees, hips, and lower back. "The change to the position of your spine puts pressure on nerves in the back and can cause sciatica, a condition where nerves become trapped, triggering pain and numbness as far down as the feet," Dr. Nevins adds.
Not good for our feet
allowed, if I want I can freaking well wear anything I want, required danged well not, but those things hare heinous on the ankles and back AND destroy the foot
