  • Russia now has a mixed economy, which is better for business and human beings in general than the communist, totalitarian, egalitarian economy they had in the 80s and before.

  • commies!

  • Communism killed private businesses and sometimes their owners, shared the wealth among everyone, sent to Siberia those who was against communist regime and who had own opinions, All remaining elite escaped to other democratic counties. Those who stayed, were mainly average workers and landless peasants, and were the biggest beneficiaries from collectivization. @tajshar2k I asked a foreign exchange student from Russia which nation the average Russian preferred, the USSR or the Federation. She told me that those who lived during in the USSR (the older generation) liked the benefits that the state gave and don't like the current capitalist system. But that the younger generation that never knew the old empire both liked/thrived on the new system and don't want anything to do with the Soviets. I think its simply people adapting to their environment that they were raised in and not wanting to change more than which one was better.
