This would be really hard, I think it would be easier to choose a developent from a certain time period.

Language then scientific method then internet.

Add agriculture! Easily the most important and gave birth to all of the others since none of the others could be developed if you weren't able to establish yourself in one location with a reliable source of food.

@FreedomBeforeEquality Agriculture is abundant in the animal kingdom. I Want to do more human innovative developments. There is a fine line.

Is there a fine line? Where did you get the rest of these from? Flight, music, antibiotics, electricity, language ... All animal things.

I want to agree upon Language, but I do not classify it is an invention. Language is just an innate human development, as we are complex creatures with complex ways of communicating. A true invention that bettered humanity would have to be electricity, as most industry and daily life relies upon it. The creation of electricity is what fueled the industrial revolution. Music should not even be on this list. Music if mostly for entertainment, and sometimes for stimulus. Aircraft is just for military and transportation. Religion would not be considered an invention, and even if it was, some religions (Islam) have done a lot of harm to the modern world. You can't exactly state that one invention tops all others. We need Antibiotics for medicine, which increases health and life span. We need Music for entertainment. We need the internet for communication, advertising, and a multitude of other uses. We need aircraft for quick travel.

@bballcrook21 I'm talking about developments... Them being invented or not has nothing to do with question.

@FreedomBeforeEquality All of them are to do with nature. I'm just deciding to cut it off at agriculture.

If you take it in the sense of developments, then language wins hands down. Nothing would be possible without human communication.

@bballcrook21 I, myself aren't going by the butterfly effect; but the question is open to that interpretation.
FreedomBeforeEquality says2015-08-20T18:38:45.5790649Z
Idk ... Some of those things dont even require a second person to do. What do you need language for.
FreedomBeforeEquality says2015-08-20T18:39:42.7534314Z
Maybe more sizable applications of the same invention. But ironically you wouldnt need it to be as developed or sizable if there were no one else around.

I should of been more precise
