  • Why?

  • Yes, killing people who only happen to run a major company, the aftereffects of which will almost certainly cause it to sustain losses, and be forced to curtail operations because of it, is certainly the way to go. Who would take over?

Because they are capitalist scum

Capitalism drives innovation.
triangle.128k says2015-07-10T23:44:00.9524406-05:00
Without capitalism, the computer you're using right now would be nowhere near as sophisticated as it is right now.

@russian_metaphor_man Okay. Now do you have a legitimate reason why they should be executed? A crime, maybe?
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-10T23:48:48.3345867-05:00
Only because children are taught from a young age that success is based on wealth. If instead we teach them in schools the value of society and advancing the nation for the betterment of the people and the mother country the drive will still exist. Also I won't have to buy a new computer every view years as it won't be programed to expire over time but made to last.
triangle.128k says2015-07-10T23:50:37.7389170-05:00
Yeah because technological advancement in computers would be much slower without the competition, which is set by capitalism.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-10T23:54:52.5430249-05:00
No greed makes them create products which they program to expire after a few years so you purchase the latest model every time, an infinite supply of money by taking advantage of the unaware citizen.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-10T23:57:28.5757280-05:00
@58539672: the crime is supporting and upholding the capitalist economy with their banks, not to forget meddling in affairs in the middle east where they should have no business.
58539672 says2015-07-11T01:02:02.6877220-05:00
@russian_metaphor_man None of those things are crimes. Please try again.

I dont need a law to know what's unjust
58539672 says2015-07-11T01:11:02.7143489-05:00
@russian_metaphor_man Crime-an action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law. Yes, you kind of do need a law. Try again.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T01:14:15.7628276-05:00
Ok Ill say it again then I dont need a law to know what's unjust
58539672 says2015-07-11T01:16:26.5256246-05:00
@russian_metaphor_man You can't execute someone who hasn't committed a crime. Thats called murder (which is a crime). If you want to make a new poll that says, "should we murder the Rockefeller family" then your logic makes sense.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T01:24:19.7379579-05:00
I claim my right by natural law
58539672 says2015-07-11T01:41:37.7514556-05:00
@russian_metaphor_man Natural law does not mean, "I can do what ever I want". Natural law (which is the basis of common law) was developed largely by English philosophers, mainly Thomas Hobbes. Hobbes created 19 laws of nature that apply to all men, the first being that all men must seek peace until it can no longer be obtained, at which point any means or advantage of war can be used. You are skipping the first half of that law and going strait to the second half. An act of murder for no better reason than "I don't like them" goes against natural law.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T02:48:36.7221820-05:00
Umm no natural law predates man, it did not just appear because some guy thought he stumbled onto something. Might has right this is natural law its how nature works
Forthelulz says2015-07-11T02:49:00.1691323-05:00
Ever considered a career in politics? You have that arbitrary pseudo-sociopathy that people seem to eat up.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T02:49:26.2056546-05:00
@Forthelulz: thats the plan
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T02:50:30.7229087-05:00
^ that is directed at your vote.
Forthelulz says2015-07-11T02:51:31.2290893-05:00
Did I mention the bit about the curtailed operations meaning that people who depend on them for a living are now left in the lurch because they had to let them go?
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T02:52:38.1961299-05:00
Forgive me english is my second language, I don't know what you are saying?
Forthelulz says2015-07-11T02:54:46.7356732-05:00
The curtailed operations would cause people to be unemployed, and it's all the fault of the guy who was responsible for the deaths of the people in charge. Unless you're planning to suppress the dispossessed former personnel, you're going to have a sizable group of people howling for your blood if you go through with it.
Forthelulz says2015-07-11T02:59:05.7226743-05:00
If capitalists were evil, then this would probably be playing at roughly 180 decibels
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T03:56:20.8702801-05:00
They would welcome me with open arms for slaying their greedy overlord and freeing them from the chains of oppression.
58539672 says2015-07-11T10:41:52.1002999-05:00
@russian_metaphor_man Natural law- a body of unchanging moral principles regarded as a basis for all human conduct as developed by several philosophers over the course of human history. Mankind didn't just precede natural law, they created it.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T15:51:13.4053538-05:00
@58539672: what came first nature or mankind?
58539672 says2015-07-11T16:36:45.4366066-05:00
Natural law- a body of unchanging moral principles regarded as a basis for all human conduct as developed by several philosophers over the course of human history. What part of that is hard to understand?
russian_metaphor_man says2015-07-11T16:43:59.2404738-05:00
Just because some people think they invented a new definition for natural law does not make it so. It is self explanatory law that comes about by nature, why is that hard to understand? I dont need a group of dead men to do my thinking for me.
58539672 says2015-07-11T23:03:47.2803243-05:00
@russian_metaphor_man Yes, they did invent the idea. The concept of natural law was written by man to describe nature. Nature has always existed, but a law surrounding it hasn't until someone thought of one. It is completely the handiwork of ancient and modern philosophers.
