The Innocence Project has freed over 250 men from prison. The majority of those men were in for rape charges. Why do we deny that false accusations occur often?

The sad part is the Innocence Project is incredibly understaffed. Imagine if it was staffed properly. How many thousands of people are innocent and in prison?

We do not want to admit how the rise in female alcoholics directly relates to the rise in rape cases.

We do not admit it because we do not want to face the fact that the legal system is biased against men. After all, 93% of all prisoners are male and only 7% are female even though females are the majority gender.

We need to maintain the illusion our justice system works.

We do not admit that people lie because it would not be politically correct.

We do not admit because we are not a feminist society.

The legal system is a bit harder in men but that's just because every aspect of the goverment is corrupt .

That is true. There is a double standard when it comes to gender in a legal system though.

False accusations happen, just don't exaggerate the frequency at which they occur as the vast majority of rape accusations aren't false. It is important to remember that wrongful convictions happen regardless of gender and the accused crime. Statistically, women tend to be less likely to commit crimes than men which explains why prison demographics and demographics of the general population are so disproportionate. (It would be interesting to find out why this is as it could help shed light on all the motivations for crime in general, some people believe that gender socialization effects crime rates, another common hypothesis is that sexist attitudes exist within the police and judiciary systems e.g. police more likely to stop men than women.) Yeah the justice system has flaws and it's great that people are trying to get innocent people out off prison but instead of just focusing on the fact that some men convicted of rape are innocent we should also focus on the fact that many more rapists never get convicted in the first place. We should try to come up with ways to address the shortcomings of the justice system in both these areas.

Strangely enough... Most rapists are men...

Lies. They were put in jail because they are rapists. Freeing jail convicts is stupid.

Go out to the innocence project and see for yourself. All the cases are there. Everyone says that things are okay until they are the ones who are falsely accused. Half the people who comment on crimes have never been in the system or even stepped foot in a prison. The funny thing is that I can did into anyone's life and find a felony charge. And when I say anyone, I mean anyone.

Redspectre you have to be a child with a childish mind. This is why I don't like DDO sometimes. You have people that know next to nothing about what they comment on.
