The USA Should Ban Guns

We need to keep every right and freedom intact that we can, even if we don't necessarily agree with it. At least this way, we have a *choice*, and that's what freedom is all about. Many soldiers died for these freedoms and our US Constitution, and the survivors and their families have sacrificed a great deal. If we keep chipping away at our freedoms, pretty soon we won't have any. History is not linear, it is circular.

2nd amendment says it is our right to have a gun. It is good for protection. Cops can punish the criminal, but they can't defend you. No one is against guns, it just that some people want other people(police) to bear guns for them.

Our Constitution says that the nation is run by the people. The Founding Fathers put the 2nd Amendment their so that the people could arm and protect themselves if the government ever went out of control.

If you outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns. Criminals will get guns no matter what. If they're willing to kill someone they're willing to get an illegal gun in an illegal way considering their low standards of morals and disregard for the law shown by the act of killing someone. When those criminals use their illegal guns to rob, rap and kill good law abiding citizens we won't have guns to defend our selves. Even with out a gun you can rape, rob or kill someone and that person might need a gun to defend them selves. A 5tf 100 pound women is no match for 6ft 209 pound man. She could use a knife , martial arts ect but he will most likely not be effected. Also if you outlaw guns we will have a whole new cartel and a lot more people getting killed for illegal guns that will be smuggled into the u.s. Drugs are illegal and people still get them and if you ban guns it will be the sane way. Our second amendment gives us the right to own guns for protection against a tyrannical government. If that should come about in 50 or 100 years we need to be ready.

When you ban guns, only criminals have them. When you license guns, it provides an easy way for the powers-that-be to go door-to-door and collect them (just like in Cuba and other nations). The 2nd Amendment was written to protect us AGAINST the powers-that-be, whoever they may be!

Even if the government bans guns, criminals can find ways to get around the ban.

There is a reason the 2nd amendment was added.

It's a shame that guns are needed... If I weren't so much a realist, I would go with prohibition of firearms.

It's way safer to have guns than to not have them. The top 4 US cities with the most shootings are New York, Chicago, New Orleans, and Washington D.C. Those 4 cities have the strictest gun control laws in the US.

It is our right and without this right, we would soon enough have no rights.

In some cases guns are bad but in most they protect people, I think that guns are a very controvecial topic.

Yes the second amendment states Americans may always own a gun but times change and laws must change for the good of the people.

We lost out Machine guns, we lost our safety, we have mass shootings in places where legal civilians can't carry ONLY! The government is trying to take our rights slowly and surely. Using the poor children as excuses. Rebel. For the Confederacy!
