The USA vs. China

Do you think that the US would win against China in a war, or the other way around.

You think the good old USA would defeat China in a war!

You think it would somehow end in nuclear war, and everyone would die.

The US and China going to war would be the catalyst that ultimately killed everyone, in a horrible nuclear battle.

How would America win?
derplington says2014-05-19T15:37:56.1426488-05:00
Ugh... If I told you you wouldn't believe me. Yet, I must say we would destroy them! Also China doesn't have enough nukes to affect us, because we have anti-nuke missiles. Even further, if we went to war the entire worlds economy would fall apart including us, and especially China. Yet, we would still have a better economy than rest of the world then, and we could easily defeat the fast breaking China. We have better, and more submarines. We have a bigger and better navy. We have a smaller, but better army. We also have far better technology. Don't say they could use Sun Tzu's art of war because we could too. They couldn't get close to our lands (the navy and air force are too powerful). We could break through their navy and planes with small losses. Our planes are far more advanced (especially the F-35). We even have enough oil to support our own needs (if you don't believe me, you are wrong). Now tell me Comrade, how would America lose?

China is thought to have over 240 warheads. They have many more then enough to effect us. We couldn't attack each other because we both have nukes, and we both have dead hands. No one wins.

Still not enough to destroy the US, yet we have well over enough to destroy them... Eh hem, 2,000 to 3,000 nukes. I don;t think China would be stupid enough to launch 240 Nukes, when we can destroy their entire country.
Comrade_Silly_Otter says2014-05-19T15:56:51.6468496-05:00
Yea, then the radiation would completely destroy all of Asia and Europe. Since China is cornered, if attacked they will resort to such. Keep in mind we can't block every nuke, and what comes with every nuke? Clouds of radiation.
Comrade_Silly_Otter says2014-05-19T15:58:07.0483575-05:00
They could even nuke Canada, and it will still ravage America with radiation. Do not underestimate nuclear weapons.
derplington says2014-05-19T16:03:05.1500950-05:00
Ugh... That was quick.... 2,000 is enough to destroy it with radiation. 240, not so much... Its not like the warheads would be doubled if they nuked us and Canada. Same amount of radiation, just more spread out.
yetifivepecks says2014-05-19T16:25:33.6372496-05:00
Why are we talking about carnage on this level so lightly? Nuclear weapons are disgustingly powerful. Encouraging such mass destruction is madness.

Well, excuuuse meee princess...

Should take out the Commies and Chinks whilst we can. Make us of the missile defence systems and frag them whilst we're ahead. Mark my words, we will regret waiting!!

@krea dafuq. That world screw up the world

History shows us what we need to do...And what happens if we don't.
Kreakin says2014-05-20T02:25:26.6857426-05:00
Someone said we can't block every nuke, I believe that is wrong these days.
derplington says2014-05-20T07:20:37.8850921-05:00
Well... We can't block 240 nukes. (don't have the money for the anti-nuke missiles). Yet, we do have enough to destroy every nuke China COULD launch at us. You see, even with 240 warheads, not even half can actually reach us. Those that can reach us, would be destroyed by these anti-nukes.
Kreakin says2014-05-21T02:38:41.8731973-05:00
Don't forget about space based weapons like "Rods from God",micro\nano parasitic satellites, high altitude EMP, space based lasers, magneto hydrodynamic munitions, etc.
Comrade_Silly_Otter says2014-05-21T06:58:58.8571367-05:00
Modern missile systems, you won't block everyone. China isn't a poverty stricken nation. One nuclear weapon does an incredible amount of damage. Nuclear weapons are horrifyingly powerful.
derplington says2014-05-21T08:02:36.6761146-05:00
First off, China would completely fall apart if we went to war. Second, they don't have any anti-nukes. Third, don't overestimate nuclear weapons. They are by far the most powerful weapons, but even then China wouldn't dare launch them, for the sake of their own country (unless we launched).
Comrade_Silly_Otter says2014-05-21T08:09:48.4426007-05:00
Yea, but like us China has a dead hand. If they are losing in their own country they will launch their missiles in retaliation. Its much more difficult to destroy a nuclear weapon then you would think, try not to blow off its nuclear head.
derplington says2014-05-21T08:14:55.2581146-05:00
The reason we don't have very many anti-nukes is because they are so expensive. They are that expensive because they are built to destroy the warheads.
Comrade_Silly_Otter says2014-05-21T08:49:16.6733146-05:00
Destroy the warheads? They can rig them to blow if such, causing a mass amount of radiation to float around.
derplington says2014-05-23T23:48:14.5892517-05:00
Dude, where are you getting this stuff from? Who would rig a bomb to blow it's radiation around. Second, if you mean they would launch them at Canada, we would destroy them before they got there. Third when a nuclear warhead is destroyed by an anti-nuke, it doesn't go off.
