  • It's got flaws but I'm mostly in favor with it.

  • Iran Deal, Cuba policy, Russian sanctions, and humanitarian aid to Ebola stricken nations are all good

  • We need to be more agressive, like send more troops over seas. Get rid of more dictatorships. You know the usually.

  • The question is too vague, but I'm gonna assume this is post WWII foreign policy. We cannot continue to police the world. We must spread the goodness of freedom, but not through force. We should trade with more countries and use more diplomacy, but cut military spending in half by reducing our intervention abroad.

  • If I were Jewish I would support their foreign policy 100%, but a non interventionist foreign policy, that would stop things like 9/11 from happening again would be awesome

What? Are you asking if we should have any?
stargate says2015-08-14T01:33:10.8749967Z
Iran deal is not good.
triangle.128k says2015-08-14T01:34:39.7487664Z
@stargate Do you know how bad it will be for US if we keep attempting to fight other countries over their governing system?
triangle.128k says2015-08-14T01:34:59.9352958Z
Guess what happened when tried that with Iraq? ISIS.
stargate says2015-08-14T10:30:29.8540249Z
Oh come on, they are killing there own people. We should help them, and give them the freedoms everyone should have.
stargate says2015-08-14T10:33:37.4296273Z
ISIS started in Syria, Syria was in a civil war. We didn't like that dictator so we gave arms to them. But they soon formed ISIS, it isn't all about Iraq. Iraq had a weak army, weak government, terrible generals. We should have stayed longer, but Obama pulled us out before we finshed helping them.

Helping them? We totally destroyed Iraq

I think the reputation of U.S foreign policy was severely damaged by the Bush administration.

@tajshar2k - ^^^ Understatement of the century
Wylted says2015-08-14T19:53:30.3731839Z
That's dumb. You guys realize that Obama has just continues Bush's foreign policy right? You couldn't really say the same about Clinton and Bush, they clearly had different foreign policies, but Bush and Obama had identical ones. I don't think this is a reflection of the political party of either one as well, but they just have the same advisers for the most part on this stuff, and they're kind of just running with whatever the various heads of American intelligence organizations are telling them. I think American foreign policy changed philosophy's after 9/11 as well. Before 9/11, Clinton and Bush both would kind of just do some bombing runs here and there, some special forces missions to arm and train rebels in strategic locations. 9/11 kind of caused them to be more willing to get their hands dirty, it was an embarrassment for intelligence organizations and They've adjusted. It's unfortunate they're too stupid to see it was a result of blowback and they should stop taking actions that cause blowback, but it is what it is.

America is false. Bush+obama=evil evil is false but absolute evil+false=obama

@tajshar2k Vi_spex's way of thinking right there.
stargate says2015-08-15T01:13:19.3227970Z
Oh come on, we at least tried to make it better.
tajshar2k says2015-08-15T01:17:31.0701885Z
Better is not absolute absolute is not evil evil is absolute absolute+evil=bush

"Foreign Policy" is more than just Americas wars. It is anything we do in regards to other nations. This includes our humanitarian aid (like our assistance in the crisis in Haiti and Japan), any form of international agreement (from military alliances like NATO to trade agreements like the proposed TPP to diplomatic negotiations like the Iran deal), and the protection and support of American citizens abroad, among many others. "Foreign Policy" is a VERY broad topic.
