U.S. System of Measurement
One final push, America! You can join us!
Because the S.I. system is so much more efficient which its powers-of-10 delineation and because each physical quantity has only one unit.
Come on US, get with the program!
Metric is a neat and tidy system that fits into itself nicely.
I live in the U.S. and am required to use our system in school, I find the metric system way easier to understand and use though.
The metic system is used all over the world and most Americans don't even know how to use it.
One sentence; metric is easier.
Metric system is easier because is divided by 10 and also, easy for parents to measure their kids medicines by the metric system, instead of using the customary system that is hard for peoples who don't understand a thing about it, like in U.S: Many peoples have the language barrier, so if they get sick, and they go to the pharmacy, they have to use the English system to understand the steps that you should do to get yourself cure, but if you don't understand, you can killed yourself by doing the wrong thing.
The US system is archaic
The metric system is much better because the conversions are all powers of ten, the base of our number system, so we can easily do them in our head. This is why every other country uses metric and it has been accepted as the global standard. The US is also moving towards metric units. Metric is always used for scientific purposes, food labels use grams, everything that uses customary units also has the option to use metric, etc. Eventually, customary units will be phased out in the US and we'll switch over to metric with the rest of the world.
