Was the criminalisation of Squatting in the UK a good thing?Posted by: Zylorarchy
Squatting in residential buildings (like a house or flat) is illegal. It can lead to 6 months in prison, a £5,000 fine, or both. https://www.gov.uk/squatting-law/overview
Of course! This cannot be a bad thing. It is not only basic morality, but should be basic law that you cannot steal something which is not yours. No one should have the right to squat on your hard earned property. All that is needed now is to get rid of the completely idiotic concept of adverse possession (in both the UK and the USA).
