Australia should celebrate US Independence Day like every other country.

@Death23: You're obviously american too. How ignorant to my way of life, get cultured. I suppose I should not expect much more from american thought being the brain dead slobs you guys are

Hect, come tell me when your country becomes a superpower, and gets at least one nuclear bomb. You country was made to "store" convicts. What important scientific contributions has Australia made? Your country is as diverse as Alabama, you probably wouldn't get that considering you are from Australia, Alabama consists of only white people. Just like Australia. Australia is puny, and pathetic, just like the current British empire.

@CannedBread: congratulations on your nulcer prowess that puts you on the moral equivalent of russia and china, the world should be working away from nuclear proliferation not towards it. I'd rather have a nation built on the back of convicts then one built on racism, genocide, war and slavery. Also the only reason america has blacks is because of slavery so... Another thing the high school I went to was predominantly made up of south sudanese refugees hardly just whites.

Australia Day is patriotic and unnecessary. It shouldn't exist in the first place

@uglie-boy: what the hell is wrong with being proud of your country?

Australia day is when the first settelers held a celebration for the new beginning in New Holand (old name for Australia). All Aussies think it is great having BBQ's, going down to the beach, catching up with family and enjoying the public holiday. @Death23 Australia is important for Aussies. @PetersSmith Australia hasn't even heard of the US independence day and we have nothing to do with that. @hect is right. We should be proud to be Australian and have a great time partying out the message. It is a tradition and celebration. It is like going to Italy and saying 'why do you have so many random mask parades?' @uglie-boy that is the most stupidest idea ever. We should be proud that we are Aussie. Why does it matter that we aren't in the US? Australia Day should be celebrated and cherished.

@CannedBread Chow down on a fat one, in fact a supersized one. We have one of the most diverse countries in the world. You useless redneck, go make a baby with your cousin.
