Were the Occupy Protests necessary and meaningful?

The "1%" create hundreds of thousands of jobs for people, and have a much higher workload and responsibility. It makes sense that they are paid more. They are taxed much more than people who earn less, and work harder for a higher position. Complaining about it does nothing but make the "99%" look like a bunch of whiny babies who want life handed to them on a silver platter.

We need to demonstrate that we are not sheep, and will not give in to corporate nonsense. The movement as a whole was a good start, and the actions of the protesters demonstrated how important something like this type of protest is.

Yes, they did start an understanding of what Wall Street, Banks, and the FED were doing to the common man although they were not a complete success they got the seed planted about inequality and they shone a light on the corruption. A different approach may be needed to continue the fight but stopping the apathy is the first hurdle
