I have seen better. Look, for all the sh1t the cold war was, having these and not launching them says plenty about both US and the former USSR. It was absolutely silly, a wast of human capacity, but shows that sanity won out.
I don't like how overgrown our military has become, I don't like that we squander so much on weapons, but in the end, we (the US) are good people. Given the opportunity, we show restraint and compassion. This could fill volumes, but the short bit is, regardless how aggressive we are, we still send the hospital ships along with the aircraft carriers. We build the nuks, but don't launch them. Its a balance between shear insanity and the core of a compassionate people.
