Westboro Baptist Church

The Westboro Baptist Church is an American unaffiliated Baptist church known for its extreme ideologies, especially those against gay people. The church is widely described as a hate group and is monitored as such by the Anti-Defamation League and S... outhern Poverty Law Center. It is headed by Fred Phelps and consists primarily of members of his large family; in 2011, the church stated that it had about 40 members. The church is headquartered in a residential neighborhood on the west side of Topeka about three miles west of the Kansas State Capitol. Its first public service was held on the afternoon of November 27, 1955.The church has been involved in actions against gay people since at least 1991, when it sought a crackdown on homosexual activity at Gage Park six blocks northwest of the church. In addition to conducting anti-gay protests at military funerals, the organization pickets other celebrity funerals and public events that are likely to get it media attention. Protests have also been held against Jews and some protests have included WBC members stomping on the American flag. The WBC is not affiliated with any Baptist denomination. The Baptist World Alliance and the Southern Baptist Convention have each denounced the WBC over the years. The church describes itself as following Primitive Baptist and Calvinist principles   more

The occult is "knowledge of the hidden". In common English usage, occult refers to "knowledge of the paranormal", as opposed to "knowledge of the measurable", usually referred to as science. The term is sometimes taken to mean knowledge that "is mea... nt only for certain people" or that "must be kept hidden", but for most practicing occultists it is simply the study of a deeper spiritual reality that extends beyond pure reason and the physical sciences. The terms esoteric and arcane have very similar meanings, and the three terms are interchangeable. It also describes a number of magical organizations or orders, the teachings and practices taught by them, and to a large body of current and historical literature and spiritual philosophy related to this subject   more

Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities. Most inclusively, atheism is simply the absence of belief that any deities exist....  Atheism is contrasted with theism, which in its most general form is the belief that at least one deity exists. The term atheism originated from the Greek ἄθεος, meaning "without god", used as a pejorative term applied to those thought to reject the gods worshipped by the larger society. With the spread of freethought, skeptical inquiry, and subsequent increase in criticism of religion, application of the term narrowed in scope. The first individuals to identify themselves using the word "atheist" lived in the 18th century.Arguments for atheism range from the philosophical to social and historical approaches. Rationales for not believing in any supernatural deity include the lack of empirical evidence, the problem of evil, the argument from inconsistent revelations, rejection of concepts which cannot be falsified, and the argument from nonbelief. Although some atheists have adopted secular philosophies, there is no one ideology or set of behaviors to which all atheists adhere. Many atheists hold that atheism is a more parsimonious worldview than theism, and therefore the burden of proof lies not on the atheist to disprove the existence of God, but on the theist to provide a rationale for theis   more

Uhm im sorry but yeahs islam radicals are bad people and should be taken to jail. But look at everything cause of the pope Europe was put in the dark ages and people paid money to go to heaven? And now you have muslims holding the quran and saying gods on their side. Pshhhh i don't think god would be in any one person side when they want to kill others or use religion for benefits. Common sense people

I hope those that have voted for Islam have considered the entire religion in comparison to the others as opposed to choosing the religion purely based on the stereotypical view that "all muslims are terrorists"......

Why is Islam winning? Clearly not the most dangerous religion--and I say that as someone who has never been part of the Islamic faith.

So the US invades Iraq & Afghanistan for the actions of what we call Wahabis in Islam and the people fight back in those CPU tires to defend there lands and faith and there terrorists and they are saying all of them are Al-Qeuda even though nearly all the "terrorist organizations" in Iraq fight al-Qeuda so there terrorists not the US for invading.

You do know that atheism isn't a religion, right?

No individual religion is dangerous (the Westboro Baptist church is a small group of bigots, not really much of a danger), the problem is religious extremism. I have no issue with any individual religion if it is practiced peacefully but I am pretty sure all religions have been used to justify horrible acts of cruelty by a few extremists. I don't understand why so many people have killed or died for unproven gods. People who warp any religion for the sake of greed or hatred are the problem, not the religion itself.

Zionism is not a religion, it is a political movement.

One of which that supports the foundation of a homeland for the Jewish people; primarily being Israel. It may be influenced by the Judaism and Torah but that still doesn't classify it as a "religion".
