National Socialist Workers' Party

Nationalsocialistiska Arbetarpartiet was a Swedish political party which initially espoused Nazism before adopting a more indigenous form of Fascism. The party was formed in 1933 by Sven Olof Lindholm after he split from the Swedish National Socialis... t Party, following a series of clashes over policy and personality. The party initially acted as a simple mirror of the National Socialist German Workers Party, with the party newspaper Den Svenske Nationalsocialisten repeating what was being said in Nazi Germany and the Nordisk Ungdom group serving as a replica of the Hitler Youth. The swastika was also initially used as the party emblem. The NSAP did differ from the German model from the beginning however, as they placed strong emphasis on the anti-capitalist nature of their rhetoric. The party's emphasis on the socialism of their Nazism led many to label them Strasserite, although they avoided the direct criticism of Adolf Hitler that was forming the bulk of the writings of Otto Strasser by the mid-1930s.The party continued to move away from the Hitler model and largely abandoned their ties to Germany in favour of a more Swedish model   more

Communist Party of China

The Communist Party of China is the founding and ruling political party of the People's Republic of China. The CPC is the sole governing party of China, although it coexists alongside 8 other legal parties that make up the United Front. It was found... ed in 1921, chiefly by Chen Duxiu and Li Dazhao. The party grew quickly, and by 1949 the CPC had defeated the Kuomintang in a 10-year civil war, thus leading to the establishment of the People's Republic of China. The CPC is the world's largest political party with a membership of 86.7 million as of 2014.The CPC is organized on the basis of democratic centralism, a principle conceived by Russian Marxist theoretician Vladimir Lenin which entails democratic and open discussion on policy on the condition of unity in upholding the agreed upon policies. The highest body of the CPC is the National Congress, convened every fifth year. When the National Congress is not in session, the Central Committee is the highest body, but since the body meets normally only once a year, most duties and responsibilities are vested in the Politburo and its Standing Committee   more

Democratic Party

The Democratic Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States, along with the younger Republican Party. Tracing its origins back to the Democratic-Republican Party, the modern Democratic Party was founded around 18... 28. There have been 15 Democratic presidents, the first being Andrew Jackson, who served from 1829 to 1837; the most recent is the current president, Barack Obama, who has served since 2009.Since the 1930s, the party has promoted a social-liberal platform, supporting a mixed economy and social justice. The party's philosophy of contemporary American liberalism advocates civil and political rights and liberties along with social justice. It pursues a mixed economy by providing government intervention and regulation in the economy. These interventions, such as universal health care, labor protection, social programs, equal opportunity, consumer protection, and environmental protection, form the party's economic policy basis. Until the late 20th century the party had a powerful conservative and populist wing based in the rural South, which over time has greatly diminished   more

Voluntary Human Extinction Movement

The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement (VHEMT[A]) is an environmental movement that calls for all people to abstain from reproduction to cause the gradual voluntary extinction of humankind. VHEMT supports human extinction primarily because, in the ... group's view, it would prevent environmental degradation. The group states that a decrease in the human population would prevent a significant amount of human-caused suffering. The extinctions of non-human species and the scarcity of resources required by humans are frequently cited by the group as evidence of the harm caused by human overpopulation. VHEMT was founded in 1991 by Les U. Knight, an American activist who became involved in the environmental movement in the 1970s and thereafter concluded that human extinction was the best solution to the problems facing the Earth's biosphere and humanity. Knight publishes the group's newsletter and serves as its spokesman. Although the group is promoted by a website and represented at some environmental events, it relies heavily on coverage from outside media to spread its message. Many commentators view its platform as unacceptably extreme, though other writers have applauded VHEMT's perspective. In response to VHEMT, some journalists and academics have argued that humans can develop sustainable lifestyles or can reduce their population to sustainable levels. Others maintain that, whatever the merits of the idea, the human reproductive drive will prevent humankind from ever voluntarily seeking extinction   more

Workers' Party of Korea

The Workers' Party of Korea is the founding and ruling political party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The WPK is the sole governing party of North Korea, although it coexists with two other legal parties making up the Democratic Front...  for the Reunification of the Fatherland. It was founded in 1949 with the merger of the Workers' Party of North Korea and the Workers' Party of South Korea. The WPK is organized according to the Monolithic Ideological System and the Great Leader, a system and theory conceived by Kim Yong-ju and Kim Jong-il. The highest body of the WPK is formally the Congress; however, a congress has not been convened since the 6th in 1980. Although the WPK is organizationally similar to communist parties, in practice it is far less institutionalized and informal politics plays a larger role than usual. Institutions such as the Central Committee, the Secretariat, the Central Military Commission, the Politburo and the Presidium have much less power than that formally bestowed on them by the party's charter. Kim Jong-un is the current WPK leader, serving as First Secretary and CMC chairman   more

Republican Party

The Republican Party, commonly referred to as the GOP, is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States, the other being its historic rival the Democratic Party. Founded by anti-slavery activists in 1854, the GOP dominated...  politics nationally and in most of the North for most of the period from 1860 to 1932. There have been 18 Republican presidents, the first being Abraham Lincoln, who served from 1861 until his assassination in 1865, and the most recent being George W. Bush, who served two full four-year terms 2001 to 2009. The most recent Republican presidential nominee was former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney who lost in 2012.The party's platform is generally based upon American conservatism, in contrast to the contemporary American liberalism of the rival Democratic Party. The Republican Party's conservatism involves supporting free market capitalism, opposing regulation and labor unions, and supporting socially conservative policies. The party is generally split on the issue of how to deal with illegal immigration   more

Communist Party USA

The Communist Party USA is a communist political party in the United States. It is the largest communist party in the country. Established in 1919, it has a long, complex history that is closely related to the histories of similar communist parties ... worldwide and the U.S. labor movement. For the first half of the 20th century, the Communist Party was a highly influential force in various struggles for democratic rights. It played a prominent role in the U.S. labor movement from the 1920s through the 1940s, having a major hand in founding most of the country's first industrial unions while also becoming known for opposing racism and fighting for integration in workplaces and communities during the height of the Jim Crow period of U.S. racial segregation. Historian Ellen Schrecker concludes that decades of recent scholarship offer "a more nuanced portrayal of the party as both a Stalinist sect tied to a vicious regime and the most dynamic organization within the American Left during the 1930s and '40s".By August 1919, only months after its founding, the Communist Party claimed 50,000 to 60,000 members. Members also included anarchists and other radical leftists   more

Libertarian Party

The Libertarian Party is an American national political party that reflects, represents and promotes the ideas and philosophies of libertarianism and free-market, laissez-faire capitalism. The Libertarian Party was conceived at meetings in the home ... of David F. Nolan in Westminster, Colorado in 1971. The official formation of the Libertarian Party occurred on December 11, 1971 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The founding of the party was prompted in part due to concerns about the Vietnam War, conscription, and the end of the gold standard.Although there is not an explicitly-labeled "left" or "right" designation of the party, many members, such as 2012 presidential nominee Gary Johnson, state that they are more socially liberal than the Democrats, but more fiscally conservative than the Republicans. The party has generally promoted a classical liberal platform, in contrast to the social liberal and progressive platform of the Democrats and the more conservative platform of the Republicans. Current policy positions include lowering taxes, allowing people to opt-out of Social Security, abolishing welfare, ending the prohibition of illegal drugs, and supporting gun ownership rights   more

Constitution Party

The Constitution Party is a right-wing nationalist political party in the United States. The party believes that the United States is a Christian nation founded on the basis of the Bible and that jurisprudence should be restored to what the party cla... ims is its "Biblical foundations". It has been described by its critics as a theocratic party, as with its predecessor, the U.S. Taxpayers Party. The Constitution Party advocates a platform which reflects the Party's understanding of the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, the Bible, and the Bill of Rights. The party was founded as the "U.S. Taxpayers' Party" by Howard Philips in 1991. Phillips was also the party's candidate in the 1992, 1996 and 2000 presidential elections. The party's name was changed to the Constitution Party in 1999; however, some state affiliate parties are known under different names. The party's platform is predicated on the party's understanding of the original intent of the nation's founding documents. North Korean parties don't count by the ways.
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T20:25:42.9064525-05:00
@58539672 The communists can.
58539672 says2015-04-27T20:35:46.9525450-05:00
@triangle.128k Communists are bad, but I still stand by my statement. Something about systematic genocide really puts you over the edge in my opinion.
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T20:55:51.1614340-05:00
Communists committed genocide, look at Stalin and Mao. Stalin and Mao's genocides were far worse than Hitler's.
58539672 says2015-04-27T21:17:06.7139707-05:00
Systematic was the word that i was focussing on. Stalin's and Mao's genocides were both largely their respective attempts to increase food production and distribute it evenly. Both failed miserably, but they killed those people due to bad policy, not malice. The Nazi's on the other hand were very systematic, accurate in their record keeping, and did it with the sole intension of exterminating an entire race. That intent is what makes them worse in my eyes.
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T21:19:52.7231268-05:00
They didn't try to wipe out an entire race. Most holocaust victims weren't Jewish if i'm not mistaking.
heil56 says2015-04-27T21:20:58.2677393-05:00
Stalin and Mao tried to exterminate entire social classes for being that social class, this includes kulaks, czars, and landlords in china.
heil56 says2015-04-27T21:21:39.7704995-05:00
Oh yeah karl marx was planning a holocaust genocide for those he didn't think were fit for communism https://www.Youtube.Com/watch?V=s3ASjchiI2M
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T21:22:16.3779407-05:00
In the end, they both genocided to create a perfect world. But the Nazis created scientific advances and a great economy. Communism had led to economic corruption.
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T21:22:37.7658149-05:00
That in my eyes justifies communism as being worse.
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T21:23:39.0916995-05:00
Yep, this was a heilbait.
heil56 says2015-04-27T21:23:49.1858995-05:00
But karl marz wanted to exterminate the german master race, while hitler was only trying to cleanse the world of undesirables
heil56 says2015-04-27T21:24:39.1977717-05:00
Another thing is comparing extermination of intellectuals by commies vs extermination of disabled by national socialists.... Obviously exterminating intellectuals will be worse.
58539672 says2015-04-27T21:26:57.5284918-05:00
If you think that communists are worse than Nazi's, you have the right and enough evidence to make a valid point. But for my own personal beliefs, killing people through really bad policy is not as bad as killing people because of their race.
heil56 says2015-04-27T21:28:03.9767443-05:00
Did you watch the video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3ASjchiI2M karl marx wanted to exterminate racial groups not fit for his marxist society. USSR was exterminating ukrainians because of their ethnicity.
heil56 says2015-04-27T21:28:28.9234643-05:00
So people in communist nations were being killed off for being a race.
58539672 says2015-04-27T21:29:45.6637007-05:00
I was talking to triangle, heli. I could care less about your "national socialist" BS.
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T21:40:12.8983162-05:00
Heil i'm confused, are you a holocaust supporter or a holocaust denier?
58539672 says2015-04-27T21:41:25.8942779-05:00
I think he switches back and forth depending on if he's an even or odd number.
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T21:44:38.1043421-05:00
So even numbers mean heil is a holocaust supporter? And odd numbers means he's a "holohoax" denier?
heil57 says2015-04-27T21:46:11.8303437-05:00
I agree there were mass executions in nastional socialist germany but I do not recognize it as genocide
heil57 says2015-04-27T21:47:04.8212846-05:00
Jews were being executed for being commies. Https://www.Youtube.Com/watch?V=j6p1zxKnDeM http://www.Timesofisrael.Com/putin-first-soviet-government-was-mostly-jewish/
heil57 says2015-04-27T21:47:19.5022611-05:00
Executing commies isn't genocide
Mathgeekjoe says2015-04-27T21:48:49.5567708-05:00
"They didn't try to wipe out an entire race. Most holocaust victims weren't Jewish if i'm not mistaking." I think there was about 6 million jews killed in the holocaust out of 11 million people killed in the holocaust. 6/11 is a simple majority.
heil57 says2015-04-27T21:50:31.4020715-05:00
@58539672 point said if you're basing which one is worse on which one committed extermination, then both did it.For USSR 7 +million ukrainians exterminated for being ukrainian race in an event known as holodomor. There, your argument is destroyed by historical facts.
triangle.128k says2015-04-27T21:55:00.9672971-05:00
Well the Jewish population was higher after WW2. Some historians say only 800,000-2 million jews were killed
Mathgeekjoe says2015-04-27T21:56:09.8812646-05:00
My sources put it at between 5-6 million in all situations. 6 million seemed the most valid so I picked it. Where did you get 800,000-2 mill?
heil57 says2015-04-27T22:03:26.0832524-05:00
Hey but mathgeek joe http://www.timesofisrael.com/putin-first-soviet-government-was-mostly-jewish/ so if Hitler was executing Bolsheviks and that high of a percentage of bolsheviks were jewish, it makes it look like he was trying to exterminate jews. Similarly if we were executing ISIS and 80-85% of ISIS was black, then it'd look like a genocide against blacks
58539672 says2015-04-27T23:19:05.2181172-05:00
@heli# The Holodomor resulted from the famine of 1932. The USSR in their attempt to distribute what little food they had left, ended up reducing the rations given to the Ukrainian people to the point were starvation was common. Their reasoning at the time was that Russia had a much faster population growth and, their for, need more food. An exact casualty count ranged anywhere between 1.8 to 12 million, mostly due to a lack of record keeping. The Holodomor happened because the USSR messed up policy wise, not to exterminate the Ukrainians.
Mathgeekjoe says2015-04-28T07:28:17.0455278-05:00
The "Bolsheviks" were mostly Russian orthodox (a form of christianity), then latter they become atheist. A very small percentage was jewish.

O rly (please keep in mind that I am "trolling")
Mathgeekjoe says2015-04-28T07:41:59.0827358-05:00
I know there is a lot of capitalist haters, and communist supporters, I just thought you were one of them.
CommunistDog says2015-04-28T09:06:34.5555325-05:00
Well, I just thought that the concept of Communism is funny, seeing how predictably unsuccessful it would end up being. Communism poses for a failed economic system; which will be dominated by those who do the bare minimum to get money.
triangle.128k says2015-04-28T16:11:01.7170830-05:00
Communist-Monopoly is pretty boring, it keeps going on forever because nobody can get bankrupt. You can't buy property either.
