What makes you angrier about the Eric Garner case: reverse racism or victim blaming?

Posted by: TheINFJNala

Does it make you more angry that the almost everyone who fought for Garner was black (and most likely would not have done so if he was white), or that others blame Garner for his death?

Garner was blamed for his own death, therefore police got away with it

I am pointing out how the majority of people in support for justice for Garner were mostly black, and called it an issue of racism rather than injustice in general. I believe that whether this was racism or not, the police should have not gotten away with this. ALL LIVES MATTER. It doesn't matter what color you are. Face it: if Garner was white, it would have been a different story. I'm accusing the people who fight for racism for being hypocritically racist. If you are against racism, you have to genuinely be for race equality, not for superiority of blacks over whites, or Native Americans over whites, or any prejudiced superiority over another.

It's also a biased poll that only expresses your own opinion.

Ok, maybe not most of them were black. Maybe the media mostly focused on black protesters. But whether it was racism or not, it was still wrong to let the police get away with at least manslaughter. He kept saying, "I can't breathe!" and they still held him down. They easily could have killed him.

Biased? Maybe it is. But everytime I read about the case, it's either an issue of racism or victim blaming.

I'm just trying to point out the wrong things here. He should have not been blamed for his death, and people shouldn't ignore it if he was white. I mean, Trayvon Martin was murdered by a white man (in self defense), and it was national news. Another EXACT SAME STORY took place, only the victim was white and the muderer was black. Didn't get past local news. See?

I didn't? Damn it. My mistake. I'm sorry! Can I fix it? Seriously, how can I?

It was racist because if he was white he wouldn't have been exposed to that level of police brutality. I'm a white Australian and know it was racism. The injustice was the racism without the racism the injustice of killing the man would not have happened.

Hect, I totally agree with you. All I was saying was that people who claim to be against racism can be hypocritical because we hear about blacks some in the news who don't care about innocent white people getting murdered. I am genuinely for race equality. I'm trying to point out hypocrisy.
TheINFJNala says2015-04-19T16:29:07.0813377-05:00
What I mean is, if a black man hurts an innocent white man who did no wrong, it's nothing. But if it was the other way around, everyone would care. See my point?

I apologize. I guess I misworded the question. Don't hate me.
