What should the upcoming Five Night's at Freddy's film be rated?Posted by: SnaxAttack
Since there has been confirmed news about the Five Night's at Freddy's film, I was wondering what is everyone's thoughts on the rating for the movie. The two main decisions are between being rated PG-13 or R.
I'm not sure what to vote. I'm not an expert on movie ratings, but I'd say FNAF could be rated Teen, which is equivalent to PG-13, if I'm not mistaken. Gore could make it a good movie, but that isn't present in the games. Yet, I don't know how canon the movie will be to the game.
I feel it should really be rated PG-13 since most kids like Five nights at freddy's. Even if it was rated R, I wouldn't expect a jump scare game to have blood and gore, it should be in 3-D too
In a Horror Movie aspect, if one rates the film rated R they can expand the type of content that is used, instead of being limited to what makes a PG-13 Movie.
R rated horror is better, less restrictions. How boring would Dawn of the Dead have been if it didn't allow it's content to be super messed up? No sex, extreme violence, or gore that's a really boring movie. Horror movies like FNAF need R ratings to be watchable.
This movie would not be safe for children to watch and would give many people nightmares.
R, because it's a horror with vicious animatronics that kill people, and gruesome child murders. All the horror and tension would be watered down if it was PG-13.
