I asked this question in a broader sense yesterday and it was almost unanimously Education. I wonder if itll change if you show where the extra spending actually goes when you throw money to either Education or Defense. I have a feeling the word defense alone has a bad rap, and education on its own an unnaturally good one.

20 mil in defense isn't proportionally equivalent as 20 mil in education. (718 bil in defense & 37.7 bil of that towards foreign aid. 613 bil in education. 2011) Short term benefits with defense. Long term benefits with education. Hmm. There're some long term benefits in defense/foreign aid, but I don't see those as dependable benefits. Familiarity with Tech may be beneficial for defense as well. I've gotta say Education. Woot Ipads for all. (Just don't let them get snot in the speakers)

Proportionally though ... IPads are a very small part of the education budget, too. The vast majority of education funding doesnt go to personal electronics devices for students.

"Long term benefits with education." There is little long term benefits or even no benefits at all for throwing money at an issue.

Thats really why I reduced the money from 800B to 20M in spending ... To make it seem more practical.

Man ... After this I might need to revisit education over defense spending and see if anyone learned anything.

@Texas14 Unfortunately the US is a country that burns the American flag. @Death23 Not directly no. Indirectly though, it contributes much more. Foreign aid as a tool to help our own state back here is important.
