  • America is known for immigrants.

  • The only reason to immigrate to the UK specifically are the ridiculous tax-funded benefits.

  • Compared to the U.S, U.K is more racist in my opinion. Americans are just friendlier and more generous.

  • Considering the US has more immigrants than any other country on the planet should be evidence enough.

  • USA. Obviously.

  • i'd say america is nicer towards legal immigrants, we aren't nice to criminals.

  • We are the melting pot, we are somewhere like 99% immigrant, so we have to be more immigrant friendly. But not illegal immigrants.

  • America by nature! If you're a legal immigrant, that is. Even illegals don't have it too bad here.

  • america has a better music than great britian.

Is this a trick question? They're both pretty awful at welcoming immigrants. If UKIP has any form of power - (and with the MEP's they have) I would then definitely say the US is more welcoming even with the ridiculous restrictions there are in the US currently. If UKIP doesn't get any power in the general election then I'd say the UK is just a tad friendlier.

"I'd say the UK is just a tad friendlier." - Then vote for the UK.

The U.K is horrible. The racism there is far worse than what it is in the U.S. I know a couple friends who been there, and they say its horrible. Australia is even worse I heard.

GarlicBred, you can't tell people on this site that something is racist, they will just make up every excuse to say it's not.
GarlicBred24 says2015-04-09T18:52:19.0391178-05:00
Why did you vote for the U.K then?

Just wondering.

I agree with Garlicbred, Europe is far more racist than the U.S. Americans are much nicer to immigrants in my opinion. Depends on where in the U.S though. Most places are pretty tolerant.
briantheliberal says2015-04-09T18:54:12.5113356-05:00
Because I live in the U.S. and a large amount of people who aren't direct descendants of immigrants don't like them. Most of my British friends are quite tolerant of immigrants in the UK.

But that has nothing to with what I was telling you. I was saying you can't call something racist on this site without people attacking you for it, even if it is in fact racist.

Strange, I had the opposite experience of what you had.
dbushwacker says2015-04-10T09:17:36.0069638-05:00
I wonder, if the U.K. and U.S. are more tolerant to each other than they are to other people of foreign and native decent, I mean that would explain the difference in experiences right?

I bet the majority of people who voted USA only done so because they are patriotic and think that the mighty US is better at everything.

Or you could look at the number of immigrants coming to both countries and get your answer their. People flock to the better option.
