In terms of success in all-around politics (making, establishing, enforcing laws and policies), which one is typically more successful and correct?

  • The Left

  • The Right

  • I'm a registered Independent with Conservative leanings. I have voted for far more Republicans than I ever voted for Dems. So, it pains me to make this observation. But ... nowadays the Left makes far BETTER decisions than the Right. They think MORE about the Middle Class, Vets, the Poor, etc. than their political opponents too. Things that used to be trademark issues that you could trust the GOP to embrace, they now ignore or barely give these issues attention. It's sad. The in-fighting of the Right is ruining it. If they AREN'T fighting each other, they certainly AREN'T working with the other side of the aisle or President FOR THE PEOPLE! And all of that will continue to attract voters to the Left!

  • Sadly, it used to be more of a bipartisan issue. However, in the past 30 years or so, the Republican Party has gone from a valid conservative choice, to a party of politicking, big money, and fundamentalist Christianity.

  • Right wing ideology consists of theodemocracy, fascism and inequality. No thank you

  • Blind studies have shown that Left-leaning policies are more popular amongst voters.

  • The Left, but not the Democratic party. I hate both main parties. I'm a registered Socialist.

  • We liberal Democrats are always right. Conservatards are always wrong.

  • Conservatives are doing what the name suggests Conserve, the old traditions and old values. It might try to hold onto old ideas that's sometimes rather wacky But the Left is actively EXPERIMENTING with peoples lives and our society, with many long term severe unforeseen consequences.

  • Libtards are wrong about everything. We Right Wing Conservative Republicans are always right about everything.

Neither. Anti-war and anti-police state are always correct. Everyone else, from both parties are always wrong.

Anarchy is always wrong, and it's far left

Don't people know they have to get more creative with political polls like this, so all the answers they get aren't biased answers according to one's political affiliation?

@Sweet Tea, I don't think the Libertarian Party is going to scare away true republican voters who know what is causing the problems within the Republican party. Or should I say WHO is causing the problems in the Republican party. Honestly, I think some big Republican influentials have went incognito for a good reason, only speaking seldomly.
SweetTea says2014-07-11T08:11:09.5909395-05:00
Haroush ... I don't think Libertarians are the problem, within the GOP. The Tea Party is creating the real chaos -- look at Mississippi!
Haroush says2014-07-11T08:13:07.3241395-05:00
The Tea Party is mainly Libertarians!
Haroush says2014-07-11T08:14:06.8363877-05:00
Don't believe me, go see who supports the Tea Party for the most part.
Haroush says2014-07-11T08:15:21.4216703-05:00
The people who do support the Tea Party who aren't Libertarians are just confused.
Haroush says2014-07-11T08:24:17.9203931-05:00
For example, what do you hear many Libertarians say? They say they are conservatives, when truly they aren't necessarily conservative, only in some senses. This is specifically concerning the Libertarians who have some conservative leanings, so they consider themselves conservatives in general. When overall many of their ideas of liberty are actually very liberal. For example, John Stossel. That is one guy I can't stand, though I do give him credit for being honest about the differences between being an overall conservative versus having some conservative leanings (or quite a few), but at the same time having either just as many, if not more liberal leanings.

Therefore, are some of these politicians who say they are Republicans, actually Republicans? I don't think so, if anything, they are Libertarians. They are kind of like Neo-conservatives, but much more anarchist ( when regarding to these specific type of Libertarians) in the sense, if majority of America believed in this specific type of ideology, it would create anarchy.

If by libertarian you mean conservative, yeah they're libertarians.
Preston says2014-07-11T09:14:09.8036786-05:00
Its the tea party, not republicans, but of course ignorant individuals will confuse them.
SweetTea says2014-07-11T09:57:33.6973287-05:00
Okay, then, let me be blunt: THE TEA PARTY IS KILLING THE GOP! My Scottish terrier could run against a TP candidate & win! You CANNOT take candidates affiliated with the TP & win a national election. Nationally, their popularity is in the gutter. So, at some point, the GOP has to either cut them (TP) loose or resign themselves to being bottom-dwellers (holding lower offices)!

@kitten, there's a difference between making observations and doing experiments and taking a p!Ss in the wind and hoping it does hit you.

Morals are the only real "correct" because they are intended to bring about stability and mutual respect. Before you create political views, you need a moral foundation to base them on. Anything can work if morals are good, even extremes like fascism or anarchy. Morals are there to preserve order, because believe me, nobody wants chaos. If you don't have good morals, or have corrupted morals, then, and only then, will your political ideology or government structure be considered "bad".
debate_power says2014-07-11T11:52:11.7030252-05:00
Even anarchists, at least the reasonable ones, don't want chaos.

I don't agree with that article...
