Unregulated capitalism.

Triangle128k: Given the dire straits your county's economy is in and the next bubble about to burst, your sucky trade agreements, your lack of production, your zero interest rates, your wage stagnation and your huge inequality gap, racial problems and social ills and the huge division of your two party system, neither of which gives a damn about the constitutes once in office.... I wouldn't be so quick to paint a picture of socialism as the evil unseen entity to fear Like Joseph McCarthy did with the red scare. In fact the US has many many social programs right now and I bet you enjoy them daily. It might behoove you to take it upon yourself to learn more about this topic and not rely on pundant information and perhaps "think" more deeply about the big picture and not just what effects you and you little world, yes?

@karlmarx Nice exaggeration and lies of the our problems. Now please elaborate why Marxism can fix the United States.
triangle.128k says2016-08-22T05:14:53.1899960Z
Many social programs we currently have are actually a failure and would be better in a free market. The working social programs are just the minor exceptions of where Socialism can occasionally work.

@karlmarx59 "Any country that is run by religion is the most oppressive." Your antireligious prejudices don't reflect the reality for religious countries.
foxxhajti says2016-08-22T07:37:25.9415860Z
I don't think that any country run by religion is oppressive. My country is run by Roman Catholicism, I'm an atheist, and I don't feel oppressed at all. It mostly depends on the type of religion used and the type of laws implemented based on that religion itself.
foxxhajti says2016-08-22T07:42:48.9769981Z
"I don't think that any country run by religion is oppressive" I mean "I don't think that EVERY country run by religion is oppressive". Sorry about that.
Throwback says2016-08-22T07:44:24.7004389Z
@foxxhajti: thank you for the honesty regarding Roman Catholicism. Only Islam wants coerced converts to their criminal cult.
foxxhajti says2016-08-22T07:49:48.3130621Z
@Throwback No need to thank me, I'm just being honest. I've grown up in a system based on the religion my entire life, and never had any problem with it. I think political systems based on the particular religion can be more fluid to human needs, on the other hand, Sharia Law, makes things like torture, oppression, mutilation and execution, almost normal. A political system based on Roman Catholicism allows free will.

@heterodox, valid point. Democracy is frightening as a governing system. The thing tipping the scale the other way for me is democracy is mob rule with the slim chance of a good mob. I tend to think others are incapable of even that remote possibility. The best is constitutional republic, "If you can keep it."
Heterodox says2016-08-22T15:41:47.7808903Z
@Throwback, "...A good mob" made me laugh a bit.
Throwback says2016-08-22T15:43:40.3691486Z
I know. I'm not saying it could happen. It's a theoretical possibility, nothing more.
reece says2016-08-22T16:29:38.3764930Z
I'm so disappointed.
Juan_Pablo_4_hillary says2016-08-22T17:05:46.1319238Z
Where's the Anarchy option? These are all superior to Anarchy, where no one agrees to anything.
Juan_Pablo_4_hillary says2016-08-22T17:08:10.1988473Z
The human spirit needs rules to safely and comfortably express itself.
reece says2016-08-22T17:59:16.3459135Z
There are different forms of Anarchy.
BrendanD19 says2016-08-22T23:53:46.5880168Z
Let's remember that Islam is a religion and not a form of government. Sharia law, Emirate or Caliphate are forms of government.
reece says2016-08-22T23:59:24.9369503Z
@BrendanD19 I think most of us took it as what he meant. But I wouldn't be surprised if Throwback didn't know.
karlmarx59 says2016-08-23T00:53:12.8262239Z
Triangle128k I agree, if your trade agreements were better regulated and your actions on Wall Street like derivatives were dismantled...Plus attention to restructuring social programs....Sure your country would be on the path to a economic growth that is real not just on the Dow -Jones. I don't think Marxism can fix your country because it is a theory. I think a more regulated capitalism and more socialism would "fix" your country.
karlmarx59 says2016-08-23T00:54:10.4693324Z
BrendanD19 is absolutely right.
karlmarx59 says2016-08-23T00:54:58.0502474Z
Reece is right about Anarchy
karlmarx59 says2016-08-23T00:56:02.6822903Z
Wolfram as usual is an idiot
Wolfram says2016-08-24T05:57:05.5996842Z
@karlmarx59 Yeah, yeah. You can resort to insults as much as you want, it won't change the fact that you have anti-religious prejudices.
karlmarx59 says2016-08-25T04:32:36.5552462Z
Wolfram: You are correct, my friend, it will not change my atheism. :)
Wolfram says2016-08-25T19:49:43.6639793Z
@karlmarx59 There is the difference between atheism and antireligious prejudice, you silly person.
reece says2016-09-07T10:08:27.6935161Z
@Wolfram What's wrong with not wanting to be PC? You agree with what Trump has said about illegal immigrants, right?
bballcrook21 says2016-10-23T22:30:28.9956177Z
Hard to pick when Marxism and Islam are in the same place.
papaBeer says2017-01-12T17:09:24.2922051Z
Communism by far.
