@Triangle, I'm surprised that you like Abraham Lincoln. I like what he did, but he didn't follow the constitution. Slavery was unfortunately legal at the time, so trying to take it away without the other states consent is kind of sneaky.

It's true he violated state rights which was unconstitutional. However, the result of that was a more united and powerful nation. If the union just let the south habe state rights, USA would be different. USA would be more like the European Union instead of a united superpower.
