I think the answer is really both. It's all a matter of perspective. Ask a "radical' they will be very certain of the truth. Ask a moderate, they will dismiss the radical. To me personally, anyone who believes my new favorite Hadith quote is the true Muslim - "Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.” "me" in this context is a rock by-the-by.

Yea, you can't really say which is more accurate. It's all opinion. Some things the radicals do, are in the Quran, and the moderates do not follow. It goes both ways.

@TBR Rules of war are pretty strict, there is an entire had it book from Sahih Al Bukhari that outlines all of these rules.

Look, it's not just Islam. Christianity tosses an entire old testament full of laws (when they like), and tossed the new testament for every war fought.
I think they are both wrong! We are all different. Its like the bible one part says eye for an eye another said let the person hit you on the the left cheek the person will follow what they find more comfortable and also what society has taught them to follow. All you need is the word and reason. Eg isis kill non isis. Reason because there religion is seen as right so why should the other people live and waste a life if they arent going to follow the right religion. Isis see it as there duty to make the world all Muslim and to follow Islam.

The true representatives of Islam are, though, as with all religious belief, all those (moderate or radical) who ignorantly follow this ancient creed and refuse to realise that there is no provable god - something that the teachings of science would give them if they studied it properly.

Fighting a holy war against infidels to manifest Islam over all other embodiments of thought in order to subjugate the entire world to the will of one religion? That's literally all Islam is. The radicals do it best.
In the quran there are 109 preachings of violence towards the infidel. The moderate muslims are obviously better people but not better muslims.
They follow the Quran to its fullest.
On numerous occasions, ISIS and Boko Haram have killed Muslims in the middle of prayer, destroyed mosques, and facilitate the Sex trade. The majority of people they kill are Muslims. Suicide is also Haram in Islam (and most Abrahamic Faiths) and yet suicide bombing is one of the primary tactics of these groups.
Just like every other religion, the actions taken by the radicals are actually against the religion.

I would have to agree that the peaceful Islam represents its religion better because the religion has strict rules of war and ISIS has broken almost every one of them. unfortunately the people of peaceful Islam do not condemn radicals, so that might be a little incriminating.
Yea, guess who we are, we forcefully rape women, where it says in the Kuran to be nice to them, you teach young ones to behead and shoot people, as well as killing your own religion and many innocent lives. chapter 8, verse 61, “But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah.” Pretty sure the US and everyone else is fighting for peace and that means you should stop. Im a catholic but i got this info from a blog so yea deal with it.
I know plenty of islamic people. plus i'm a white, american teenager who studies the language of the middle east. the radicalists are just a tiny blip on the radar. there are christian terrorists you know. all religion has their bad side. just remember, you take what you want out of religion.
