Who was more responsible for last years 23 billion $ shutdown.

I know some will say both equally, but that's simply not true.

  • The Democratic Party

  • The GOP

50% 5 votes
50% 5 votes
  • Both parties are to blame . Only a fool would say it was solely the GOPS fault. This was a case of the system failing to reach compromise.

  • Jif hit the nail on the head although he is a German hating imposter.

  • First of all, that meme is everything I've always thought about the GOP, lol. Anyways, definitely the GOP. It started by their hostage attempt to destroy obamacare for the 40th time. Give it up conservatives, over 50 votes have went through congress, with all of them failing. Your screwing your groups reputation by attempting to eliminate something with mass support within the country.

  • They tried to repeal something that we know will never be repealed. As much as I oppose the ACA, the Republicans could have handled the situation a lot better than they did.

So your basing my vote on being a German hating impostor? Good reasoning Macgreggor.

Jif That sentence made not sense and what crawled up your a**. I said you hit the nail on the head. And I agree with you better than 90% of the time, but you were never a vocally German hating twerp before, you normally stay on task. And you may call me Gunther.
Jifpop09 says2014-04-18T22:18:39.8343447-05:00
I don't hate Germans :/. Just deutschen. And if you had crushed those stupid English bastards in WW1, I would be satisfied.
Jifpop09 says2014-04-18T22:19:42.0163433-05:00
JK anyways, Germans are pretty cool. They have good food and culture
Jifpop09 says2014-04-18T22:22:23.3772382-05:00
Why don't you just go back to being Macgreggor? Whatever the case, I don't get why you defended national socialism earlier. Its extremely right for you in particular.
guntherstauffenberg says2014-04-18T22:25:45.2412382-05:00
LOL! Yeah, that would have saved Germany from a lot of woes from that nationalist socialist party and the Third Reich debacle. And the party trying to figure out Nietzsche's philosophy about religion and the ├╝bermensch. Which, by the way they got totally wrong.
Jifpop09 says2014-04-18T22:27:50.0724382-05:00
Yeah, a lot of $hit would of been avoided if Germany won WW1. I'm also not saying they were in the right though, as the war was instigated by them and Austria. Either way, the league of nations abuse to Germany were absolutely unacceptable.
guntherstauffenberg says2014-04-18T22:34:17.7591570-05:00
Got that right, dude.
guntherstauffenberg says2014-04-18T22:37:06.3026374-05:00
Oh, I don't like nationalism at all! Ye-uck. I do defend socialism. You know the Nazis hate Marx's ideologies of socialism, so no way. No Mac because of issues...I went back to my Facebook account. And my middle name, no chuckling please.
guntherstauffenberg says2014-04-18T22:39:11.3218388-05:00
I'm not multi accounting. All mine are closed.

That was a fair response CheeseFries. A good philosophy to follow is knowing when you lost the battle.

Catlover, mind explaining your position?
Jifpop09 says2014-04-18T22:55:03.9672932-05:00
The GOP should of worked with the democrats to reform the law. The party leaders accepted nothing less then the republican health act.
Jifpop09 says2014-04-19T11:03:04.6531725-05:00
Can someone explain why it was the democrats? The majority was in favor of obamacare, and the GOP stubbornly tried to put it down 50 times.

Ararmer1919 ... Instead of calling others "a fool", you should really educate yourself on the subject. FYI ... The question asks who was more responcible, so why would he choose democrats and say both were equally to blame =_=
