Will Jiang Zemin be criminally prosecuted in the near future?
Posted by: UtherPenguinLong story short: Jiang was the former chief of the CCP and Chinese premier from the late 80's to the early 2000's. The new premier, XI Jinping is cracking down on Jiang's political faction in CCP under corruption allegiations. Starting off with Jiang's former minister of Commerce Bo Xilai, then former Secretary Chief of Staff Zhou Yongkang, now Jiang is under house arrest. Is it possible that Xi will use this as an opportunity to prosecute JIang (hence removing the strongest of his political opponents)?
