Would it be moral to worship Cthulhu?

If you could say with reasonable certainty that Cthulhu was real, that the stars will one day be right, that there is nothing you could do to stop him from destroying humanity but if you worship him he'll grant you a quicker death would it be moral to worship him.

If you haven't heard of cthulhu I suggest you read call of cthulhu. It's well worth the read and you can find free audo books on YouTube if you prefer but if you really can't be bothered or don't like comic horror Cthuhlu is a malevolent god in the fictional work of HP lovecraft and many other writers who picked up the torch after him. In the universe one day he will return for his imprisonment "when the stars are right" to wipe out humanity, a fate which man kind will be powerless to prevent.

What makes Lovecraft an authority on Cthulu? Did he have some divine insight? (jumping ahead to the atheists of 2125 arguing the Cthulisians on DDO 1.5, which assumes that someone starts developing the site again within the next century).
