Would Joe Biden make a better president than any of the other current Democrat candidates?

The media seems to suspect that he may run.

  • Yes, he seems more reasonable than any of the other Democrat nominees

  • No, there are better candidates in the Democrat Party.

  • Jim Webb is too liberal on economic issues, but he's pretty smart on foreign policy. I'd only vote for him if he was up against Trump, Huckabee, or Cruz though.

  • Too unpresidential in my opinion. I'd rather go with Bernie.

  • Yep. I'm a Bernie supporter.

  • Im a Delawarean and have actual had the please of meeting the man on several occasions. I like him as a politician and as a person, along with his son (may he rest in peace). But he doesn't carry himself as a president and often has the problem of putting his foot in his mouth. Id like for him to come back to Delaware and be Senator again, or maybe even try for Governor.

  • While Biden has a surprising amount of experience dealing with foreign policy, his experience still begins and ends at being the VP, and Hillary was Secretary of State for 4 years so she has ample Foreign policy experience as well....

The Dems have the advantage in public opinion on many of the issues, but their candidate choice for 2016 seems weak. Joe Biden is a bad candidate. Hillary Clinton is probably a bad candidate. Bernie Sanders is probably a bad candidate. They don't have any Obamas left in their arsenal.

I mean, someone might emerge, but not for a while, and probably not until it's over.

I love Biden. I have great picture of my son (who waited solo patiently for him) with him. Love him love him. NO JOE, don't run. He is a great politician, great on the issues, but not a food candidate. Side note, we got some ultra cool VIP passes to an event, but that meant we were trapped in until he got there and left. He was hours late, three I think. Secrete service had us ultra cool vlps tucked behind a secure area with no way to leave. If I didn't like him so much, and didn't fear secret service, I would have punched him in the face for the exhausted kid on my shoulders.

He, my son, was saying on the way 'I'm going to meet the mice president'. I worked hard to mot displace that in his head, and kept telling him to say 'nice to meet you Mr. Mice president'. After it all, he was too damn tired.

@Vox, I think if Hillary and Bernie weren't as popular O'Malley could be their Obama. They have the same sort of freshness.

@Texas14 - There is nothing really wrong with O'Malley. Berney is better. If I have to push a primary candidate its Berney.

@TBR, I see why he's getting a lot of attention. He's authentic and he excites the base. I don't think he'll win, but I'm not gonna be one of those people who says he has no chance.

This is kind of a tough question to answer since we dont know jack shit about any part of the platform he would run on... Bernie is HARD left, Hillary is closer to the center than Bernie, so without knowing how Biden stacks up compared to either of those two, its really a crapshoot of knowing if he would make a better pres than either of them

I have no doubt that Bernie would be a better president, it is a question of electability. I was very skeptical of any real chance, but he is gaining a lot of ground. Hillary needs him there as much as I want him in the race. She needs someone liberal to point at. "That's the liberal, I am WAY over here".
