  • If I were American and were older I would vote for him. He is theonly one with the balls to want to ablolish the evil income tax

  • Rand Paul can lead our country back to its roots. That does not mean go back in time, it means that he can shrink our Federal government back to the level our founding fathers intended it to be, and it means that the states will be empowered again, and that individual liberty will come to the front. He is a leader who will empower the people

  • It's going to inevitably come down to him and Hillary, and there's not enough 3rd Wave Feminists in the world to counteract the intelligence of responsible citizens that will just settle for Rand.

  • He wishes to abolish the Bureau of Education, cut massive funding to the CDC and NASA, and remove Obamacare, which, last I checked, 16 million Americans are on and receive benefits from.

  • Too much of a dove and Isolationist. He follows libertarian principles instead of doing what's in the best interest of the nation. He isn't fit to lead, only preach

Absolutely not. Unless you prefer us to go backward.
Heraclitus says2015-04-17T14:11:13.9711546-05:00
Absolutely if you want to freedom
TBR says2015-04-17T15:44:31.1553812-05:00
Heraclitus - Can you define this amorphous freedom?
Heraclitus says2015-04-17T16:35:18.9311690-05:00
Freedom from the tyrrany of big government. Freedom to exchange services and keep what you earn without the government interfering, regulating and stealing. Keeping the Government out of individuals' lives.

Heraclitus, sorry but no. Citizens need government regulation to maintain order and stability. I don't agree that the government should control every aspect of our lives but in no way is it beneficial or practical to live in a society where anyone can do whatever. That is called anarchy.
CyberConor says2015-04-17T18:52:15.0435638-05:00
BriantheLiberal, anarchy isn't necessary a bad thing. It just means no rulers, not no rules. Furthermore, Rand Paul isn't going to turn our country into an anarchy. Look at Greece after trying socialism. Look at Detroit after the government intervened in many businesses, (Liberals). And progressing is not always a good thing, especially if it leads to a worse place them before. And we need to reverse the damages done by Bush and Obama. Government has the job to: protecting life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That is about it.

CyberConor, Anarchy IS a bad thing based on the standards of a civilized society. I never said Rand Paul is trying to turn the United States completely anarchic, but like many ring wing Libertarians, he wants social authoritarianism and fiscal anarchy, which is the complete opposite of protecting life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Greece and Detroit are irrelevant as many of their issues stem from a lot more than socialist liberals, especially Detroit. It wasn't just liberals messing everything up you know.

He'll get rid of NSA survailence that undermines the fourth amendment. He'll cut the budget in every meaningful way he can. He'll reduce the wars on drugs and gays. Finally, he'll preserve freedom at home and abroad.
CyberConor says2015-04-17T21:20:38.1267618-05:00
Yeah, we Libertarians just want the Government out of our personal lives.
briantheliberal says2015-04-17T21:34:30.5223167-05:00
What is your definition of 'meaningful' ?
CyberConor says2015-04-18T10:55:57.5165826-05:00
Welfare, Foreign aid. These two things are unreasonable and useless.
Heraclitus says2015-04-18T13:05:19.8646132-05:00
Briantheliberal- We right wing Libertarians do not want social authoritarianism. We want social fredom as well as economic freedom
TBR says2015-04-21T12:21:54.2209394-05:00
"Freedom from the tyrrany of big government." - Lacks definition || "Freedom to exchange services and keep what you earn without the government interfering, regulating and stealing." - more rhetoric || "Keeping the Government out of individuals' lives." - Again.... Just once I would like to know what these freedoms are.
