Would you be okay with a "war to end all wars"?Posted by: PetersSmith
Would you be willing to engage in a war that would eradicate 25% of the population? And this is literally ending war forever, so you can't find the excuse where "people will always find something to fight about".
Yes, if a Great War would result in the end of militarism and war in present day and future days to come, I would be okay with that war even if it results in the annihilation of 25% of the world's population. Too much suffering has resulted in war and it needs to stop, by any means necessary. Besides, this world can do with a little lower population. It's time for a New World Order.
No, even if a Great War would permanently cause no more wars to emerge, it isn't worth the sacrifice of 25% of the population. Fathers, mothers, and children; all dead because of one war. That would be the death of 1,750,000,000 people. Does that really sound worth it? Wars can be dealt with, and honestly gradual suffering at a smaller rate is better than great devastation that results in no more suffering than war.
Its Time For Us To Evolve As A Society. If This Hypothetical War Would Truly Be The End Of All War Between Humans Then The Ends Justifies The Means, Even If 25 Percent Of The Population Dies.
A sacrifice needs to be made.
Wars are bound to happen. No war can stop a country from wanting more power. It's not worth it.
Now I'm usually pro peace and quite the content guy, but if there's one thing that goes against saying that is my belief that war is necessary, and quite terribly so. First I'll say something stupid, but I hate it when people get so soft and stingy when they enjoy peace for too long because they become so blind to the actual nature of the world, they forget that she can be a cruel b**** and will destroy you the first chance she gets. Same can be said for mankind, and even if you killed all those whom were corrupted, cruel, and warlike in a massive war like this. These terrible brutal thoughts would still appear in your children because it's natural for human beings to be warlike and combatitive, you can't help it. But war, as much as it keeps us strong and on our toes, also inspires the best and most respectable compassion in mankind. The difference between this compassion before and after war is that before people would sit on their a** and complain, but during war people will actually do something by pitching in making a change and helping those luckiest of victims to have survived. I'll say it one last time, war is brutal, but it inspires change that wouldn't occur had there not been a war otherwise.
How else will we curb population growth?
The only way to end wars would be to exterminate humankind.
Doubt it would actually occur.
