New technology every year for 10 years.
Economic, gender, and racial equality in 2 years.
End Affirmative Action in public institutions.
There is really no such thing as equality. So, to prevent the obliteration of the universe through the manipulation of the fabric of space-time, I would rather just have new technology every year for 10 years, which is very likely going to happen anyway.
I'd much more prefer equity over equality.
It would depend on the technology, but a world with 10 major new inventions to help people would be a better one for me.
I believe that a new technology for ten years would benefit us better than the other option. Don't get me wrong, I want equality. No matter how much we try, inequality will always exist. Inequality has existed since the dawn of human kind. It is natural for our minds to discriminate others. (I do not mean discriminate in the negative way, I mean that we do not want to be around others.) The human race has been around for a long time, and we have not fully found a solution to equality and possibly never will. The technology however, could help elevate the human race more into a powerful, sole, united society. It is only my opinion.
we are all equal
People are sick and tire of pain and strife. Making human rights a high priority should have been something we as a people thrived for along time ago. Almost all states proclaim that they respect human rights even when their actions are otherwise and many states actively promote human rights abroad. Yet there is a certain amount of inconsistency in this promotion. When push comes to shove support for human rights is mostly rhetorical. Thus when British Chancellor George Osborne was in China last week everything was focused on business, human rights was kept off the agenda. China is now powerful enough that sometimes there wont even be rhetoric about promoting human rights, getting business deals, finance, and access, or sometimes China's support on another international question is generally considered much more important than questioning China's own rights record. It is therefore no surprise that the once every four year review of human rights in the UN Human Rights Council (itself a body mostly known for allowing those who violate human rights to take their place in the council) did not bring to bear much criticism of China's record. As for technology, it will always be there. If anyone seen any Star Trek show or movie. Moving forward for the betterment of humanity is much superior then working for greed corporations.
Technology can only prevail when there are many minds behind it. Equality when once achieved ,can pave the way for technology,as when all people work together condemning discrimination ,the world has more far to see.
Ideally I would pick this one. It is definitely the one less likely to happen, but this is about what you want, not what you think will happen. What kind of person wouldn't want equality? Someone who only cares about their own success.
New technology already comes out almost every year, but there has never been whole equality.
Who cares about technology when you can have peace
Equality on economic, gender, and race equality all over the earth in 2 years will give us the best chance on achieving not only great technological advancement but also worldwide inclusive economic growth and world peace, the potential of a world where factors like gender, race and economic status is not a negative issue is so great I can't help but to imagine the possibilities the we HUMAN BEINGS can accomplish it would be stupendously out of this world for sure.
To choose technology is to abandon society, henceforth equality is my choice.
technology is only an enabler. the goal is a peaceful society
