  • If this ever happened in my country there would be a lot more riots, socialism is a plague a way of thinking that funnels money into corruption, capitalism is the only way we can go forward as a species, and if you think that socialism is right then you are a stupid as results have shown that it is useless in practice.

  • In the US! Worst idea ever. Of all time.

  • Socialism is the suicide of freedom from government.

  • I'd be ambivalent right up until they start taking people's stuff, at which point, I'd go on a serial killing spree on the socialists that would make Konrad Kurze drop his jaw. Hey, if they are a legitimate force in open rebellion, it's open season.

  • For obvious reasons

  • No, because I believe that regulated capitalism is the best system. It generally allows for the most innovation and scientific progress, both of which are essential in a modern society that wants to get ahead.

  • Uhhh...no. I enjoy having the freedom to do what I want without men with big guns knocking on my door. I also enjoy eating food instead of air designated as food by the supreme overlord dictator.

  • Canada has a pretty good [in my opinion] balance between Capitalism and Socialism, so no, I don't think we should add more of either.

My country is fine the way it is. The revolution would ruin New Zealand if anything. America on the other hand.

@reece if america had a revolution New Zealand would be abandoning ship

@reece Such a revolution would spark another civil war in the US. You know how many people we have that hate socialism with a passion. I mean the word socialist is used as an insult in this country.

"you are a stupid as results have shown" English is not even my first language, and I can tell you this makes no sense. Hypocrite.
PetersSmith says2015-06-30T01:23:04.9036507-05:00
Because it worked so well for all the other countries.

@PetersSmith: time is not a flat circle
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T01:27:41.1381628-05:00
@RMM That has nothing to do with whether or not someone would support a socialist revolution. In fact, that seems a distraction from the point PetersSmith is making, in that socialism works right up until you run out of other people's money.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-06-30T01:29:31.1982793-05:00
Time is not a flat circle= because something has happened before does not mean it will happen again
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T01:30:00.1056352-05:00
Those who ignore history are bound to repeat it.

Says the capitalist whose country needed a trillion dollar bail out in 2009
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T01:36:22.4689882-05:00
Says the guy who failed to account for the increases in socialism, increased regs, not to mention the most incompetent president to ever put a stain on America, taking their toll, on top of the fact that the legislative body engages in routine protectionism. America is no capitalist zone; it's an influence-peddling bordello.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-06-30T01:39:15.4913916-05:00
Which president are you referring Bush or Obama? America is the most capitilst country on earth
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T01:41:42.7587475-05:00
Check your sources; Hong Kong is where most of the capitalism is at, now. Also, I'm referring to that race card-playing Chicago hick Obama.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-06-30T01:48:12.2982385-05:00
Hong Kong is not an independent country. Bush left your nation broke, Obama inherited the debt. Obamacare is the best thing that ever happened to backward nation you call home
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T01:49:17.7159832-05:00
Okay, let's take an example. If capitalism is so evil, why don't you move to Greece, the latest socialist paradise?
russian_metaphor_man says2015-06-30T01:51:25.3207504-05:00
You must watch a lot of fox news, I wouldn't call greece a socialist country
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T01:53:18.7193311-05:00
Then what is it? A quagmire of corruption and incompetence that favors socialism as opposed to a quagmire of corruption and incompetence that nominally favors capitalism? Two sides of the same coin here. If we got rid of the corruption, both might stand up, right up until someone on the socialist side remembers that they can refuse to work and still eat.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-06-30T01:53:22.3074001-05:00
Greece failed because it's people are lazy and don't like to pay taxes
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T01:54:30.6055135-05:00
Then why are the talented and hardworking people fleeing in droves? That's right, to get away from socialism. The fact that people flee it puts a black mark in my book for it.
russian_metaphor_man says2015-06-30T02:00:19.1006152-05:00
Umm they are fleeing because the greedy capitalist banks are closing with their money. Also I will allow you to lecture the working class when in hollywood one 20 year old can sing a song she did not even write and make millions whilst a hard working labourer struggles to feed his family and pay his mortgage. This is your capitalist country. It spits on the worker whilst praising incompetent children who inherit millions without lifting a finger.
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T02:07:08.0780800-05:00
Ah, yes, the entertainers. The entertainers are very dependent upon the whims of the public. If they judge that entertainer to not be worth watching, then that entertainer is broke in short order. The worker working hard is putting money in to make sure his children can do something more with their lives than he could. If he's paying off his mortgage, that's a discount on his taxes, by the way. Then there are the incompetent children. Apparently, they can pay someone to handle investing their money, so they don't squander it. Most of that money goes into other people's businesses, which includes someone's start-up, for example.
Forthelulz says2015-06-30T02:08:19.6366561-05:00
Also, apparently, Greece issued a little thing called a "haircut" in which a percentage of the money in the banks was taken by the government outright. Things like that would ruin any bank's day.
58539672 says2015-06-30T12:46:52.1063440-05:00
The vast majority of socialist revolutions end badly or are very short lived. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. The whole "time is not a flat circle" thing is a shallow argument that goes against the scientific method and learning from ones mistakes.
