Was Jesus created?Posted 3 years Ago

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Jesus was created. However, Micah 5:2 says that His "goings forth are from of old, From everlasting" (NKJV). Furthermore, John 1:3 says, "All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made." Since He was involved in everything that was made, this would seem to exclude Him from the things that were made.

Do these two passages disprove that Jesus was created? Thanks!

No, they do not.

Micah 5:2 simply points out that Jehovah's only begotten son existed from the beginning of time. Since time did not exist before he was created that remains true.

To have time, you have to have something which changes for it to measure the rate of. Jehovah has never changed, so there was no need for time to exist.

John 1:3, like Colossians 1:13-17, simply points out that whilst the one who came to earth to occupy the body of Jesus and become the Christ is not the creator, his father created everything through him. However, as Proverbs 8:22; Revelation 3:14; John 1:4 amongst others indicate, that one was the only thing directly created by Jehovah, without anyone else to create them through, hence scripture calls him, not the specially created flesh of Jesus to whom it cannot possibly apply, Jehovah's only begotten (created) son.

There is no other way around it when the picture painted by the whole of the Bible is consistent with the only begotten son being Jehovah's only direct, solo, creation.

More garbage from brainwashed JW!

More truth from one educated (brainwashed) by the creator himself, through his son, rather than by Satan through his world.

JWs don't know the meaning of the word 'truth'. That evil sect has caused their members so much suffering since its inception.

Theist: "god is real, the bible says so, jesus made a sacrifice on a cross so sins of the people were removed"
or some tripe like that.
Athiest: "prove it, prove god is real and not just a character of a book, prove the jesus character was not just a character of a book, prove that any sacrifice was made at all, prove that "sins" exist".

Theists are then unable to actually prove anything spout utter tripe such as "you made the claim he doesn't exist, so prove that"

This is the proof that it is all hogwash and theists are brainwashed to believe without question.

<strong>Noone ever has been able to prove the god character actually exists outside of the book, if it did, then there wouldn't be athiests. It's quite simple.

If a god does exist why does it stay in hiding?

He is not hiding.

He has revealed himself very fully through his word the Bible, his son Christ and his loyal servants, Jehovah's Witnesses.

The fact that You choose to ignore and misjudged his efforts does not alter the fact that he has fully revealed his perfect balance of Love, Wisdom, Justice and Mercy to all who can be bothered to study it with an honest heart.

That's not revealing oneself. That is just a bunch of guys standing around holding a book and flapping their gums,

Not at all.

There is so much evidence which backs up what the book tells us,

What difference would him revealing himself miraculously make?

Did it help Israel to remain faithful? No!

Did the miracles Jesus or the Apostles performed help people to stay faithful? No!

Only those who take his word deep into their hearts will remain faithful. Matthew 13:10-14. The rest of you will, unless you open your eyes and hearts will remain like those described in the next verse, 15.

LOL!

What is eternal punishment supposed to accomplish?

How can something which does not exist in any literal sense have a purpose?

Men have turned it from figurative to literal to control other men, but is has no place in reality or even in God's mind.

In your brainwashed opinion!
