"Some people create with words or with music or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, 'I've never seen anyone run like that before.' It's more than just a race, it's a style. It's doing something better than anyone else. It's being creative."

Music credits should be mandatory for every high school student

BillyDrumMajor

Music should be mandatory in high schools. All students should be required to take 2 years (or somewhere around that number) of music classes. When learning about music, cognition is improved. Foreign language skills are also exercised, as well as math. The benefits are endless and the downfalls are few. It is difficult and/or time consuming to find other DDO members with matching "Big Issue Views".

I have been trying to find other DDO members with matching stances on the "Big Issues" listed on their profiles. I have come to the conclusion that it is very difficult and/or time consuming to find others with a relatively high matching percentage to my specific stances on the issues. I would like to debate with someone that believes an average user can BOTH easily and quickly find other DDO members with a relatively high "Big Issues Matching Percentage" (BIMP) Round 1 - Definitions and A...

Filibuster Reform

thp078
tmar19652

Welcome to the debate. In this debate, I will be arguing that filibustering should be an offense if used in an official government setting. Opponent will refute. I have the burden of proof since I am the one making the claim. Rules: 1. First round is acceptance. All other rounds are for debating. 2. No profanity. 3. For this debate, filibuster will be defined as a party speaking for more than one hour at a time; this includes entire political parties. 4. Have fun with it!...
